The “reputation” of Messinia in olive oil production dates back centuries. Its roots trace back to the Palace of Nestor in Pylos, where the word “olive” appeared in Linear B script on tablets dating back to the 13th century BC. Since then, olive cultivation and oil production have been an integral part of the local tradition and cultural heritage.
